Develop the skills to support effective learning for ākonga in healthcare settings. Hone your leadership skills and gain a range of teaching and learning strategies to help you become a confident clinical preceptor.

It is a regulatory requirement that all nursing ākonga are supported by an appropriately prepared, registered nurse. NMIT | Te Pūkenga collaborates with Te Whatu Ora, non-government and public health organisations to offer preceptor training. If you work for these organisations, this short course is fees-free. Identification might be required for enrolment.

Please note: This can be completed as a "stand-alone" course, but participants can receive five credits towards the Graduate Certificate in Nursing Practice, Level 7.
