CTN701 Introduction to Clinical Teaching for Registered Nurses

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this course, you will be able to:

You must be a Registered Nurse and hold a current Practising Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of New Zealand.

You must have a minimum of 2-3 years in clinical work and be currently working in a clinical practice. Please complete this applicant declaration(external link).

Requirements for Successful Completion

• Mentored or been buddied with a Bachelor of nursing (BN) student / Competency Assessment programme (CAP) student in clinical placement for a minimum of two shifts (16 hours)
• Attendance and participation on the scheduled day
• Completion of set readings prior to and following the scheduled day
• Demonstration that the learning outcomes have been met through successful completion of learning activities, exercises and submission of a written assignment

Participants who meet all of the learning outcomes will receive 5 credits towards the Graduate Certificate in Nursing practice.

The timetable and room number will be available on the Moodle site which you will have access to once you have enrolled and been accepted onto the course.
